How my upcoming Nintendo DS lite came to be

I’ve been ranting a lot about how my old phat DS is getting really bad, and I just want to let everyone know that I’ve already apologize to my old phat DS, I didn’t mean to call him names because his touchscreen was getting bad, it just was! But I’ve realized these past few days (hours) that this DS was filled with memories. I remembered when I first bought it in Toys’R'Us after we went to Costco, I had a hard time to choose which color, but I finally settled for the blue one (as it was only available in America, and is not released in Asia), I bought it along with my first NDS game, which was Nintendogs: Dachshund and friend. When we departed back to Indonesia the next day, this DS was the one who accompanied me in the 16 hours flight from LA to Hong Kong (transit) I had a great time playing with it, and from that day forward, my DS never left my side, it was always with me, and it always comforts me whenever I am sad… But as time passes by, my DS was getting old and so was I (pfffft) his touchscreen was beginning to get retarded and I was through with Nintendogs as I discovered how ninny it was.
And then, I got bored. I put my DS in my drawer and just leave him there for months… Until a few weeks ago when Summer started, I picked him up and started playing Animal Crossing with it. One day, when I was skipping my way through the mall, I stopped by a game shop, they offered me a Nintendo DS device called the R4, it allows us to download illegal DS ROMS for free, I was mesmerized, I was hypnotized, I bought it! I couldn’t believe the excitement I had until I got home and sat down in front of my laptop. I looked at my DS and the my R4 box and then in my head, I kept repeating this sentence “I’m a traitor…” I’ve betrayed Nintendo and bought this R4, I felt like a backstabber, I wanted to apologize to Nintendo but I really don’t know how.
So I looked at my R4 again and wondered what to do with it, I remembered what the guy at the store said, I couldn’t remember clearly but it echoes through my head… “R4… Third… Party… Application… cation.. tion..” I put the bits and pieces of words together and SNAP! I looked it up on Google, and I found a LOT of third party applications for DS, starting from IRC to Internet browser, I installed lots of them and now, I can use MSN on my DS! R4 had made me realize how much I love my DS, but you know, the touch screen got really annoying and I figured… Heck, I’ll just buy a Nintendo DS lite as my apology to Nintendo! And so I will… buy… A new Nintendo DS lite.
And that is how I decided that I need a new Nintendo DS lite ![]()
